Frank Miller said that one of the inspirations for doing Batman: The Dark Knight Returns was that pre-Crisis on Infinite Earths, Batman was always "29", Miller was going to turn 30, and he decided "The hell with me being older than Batman!" I never really thought about that type of feeling, being "older" than characters I liked and grew up with. I'd come to accept that after a while, I'll always be "older" than Peter Parker, I may be "older" than Scott Summers, I may be "older" than Wally West or Dick Grayson. Then I looked up the ages of Grant Gustin (who plays the Flash in the current Flash series) and Margot Robbie (who's playing Harley in the upcoming Suicide Squad movie).
At that moment, I suddenly knew how Frank Miller felt as one question came to mind: "When the hell did I become 'older' than Barry Allen and Harley Quinn?" I'm also "older" than Gal Gadot, but Wonder Woman's still supposed to be an immortal and from what I understand movie!Wonder Woman supposed to have been active since before World War II!

My Thoughts on the Classic Robin Suit
Not too long ago, I discussed my thoughts on Superman's costumes and the hypocrisy of both Zack Snyder and a certain creep who was involved in Fox's X-Men films. Well, I'm going to now talk about my thoughts on updating one of the elements I'd mentioned in that post. That's right: Robin's short shorts. I understand why it's updated and think it's a good idea. However... I'll be honest: I hate the omission of green in a lot of cases. I hated it with Tim Drake in the DCAU. I hated with when Batman & Robin made Robin's suit basically the Nightwing suit with a cape and the symbol red instead of blue. And I've never liked any of the Robin designs in Young Justice. As an aside, I also hate the inverted colors on the Robin symbol on Tim's costume in the YJ revival and Dick's suit on The Batman. I also hate them slapping one of Tim's outfits on Dick or Jason. An Announcement
As a lot of you may know, for over a decade I've kicked around an idea of a fanfic called Multiversal War. Despite making mock posters, I've sat on this for years. I'd even asked my best friend @BigBDawg001 into helping me write it if I ever did it. Well, recently, I've made a decision. I'm calling it off. I don't have it in me to write it anymore. It had been slowly building in last year, but November made sure to put an end to my enthusiasm for it. There's people I'd want to cast if it were a real project — and with certain deaths and retirements, it doesn't feel right with any combination I'd tried to make up for it. I know some of you might not be happy with my decision, but it is my decision at the end of the day.
Kevin Conroy and Jason David Frank
I don’t look it, but I’m 37, soon to be 38, years old. I’m a child of the 1990s and I’m a geek. I grew up with the DCAU and Power Rangers – and the past couple of weeks, reality took a baseball bat to my childhood’s balls. First with the death of Kevin Conroy, then the death of Jason David Frank. Batman and Tommy Oliver are dead: By cancer and possibly suicide respectively.
