Suicide Squad Trailer 2 Thoughts

  Okay, it's safe to say this trailer is trying to ape the feel of the Guardians of the Galaxy trailer.  I like "Bohemian Rhapsody" as much as the next guy, but if you're trying to do something a bit different... don't emulate the trailer of another movie, because this is similar "Hooked on a Feeling" being used for the GotG trailer.  Now, do I expect it to be like that movie?  Not really, especially given unlike the Guardians, in the source material, the various criminals recruited into the Squad continued to be assholes, even after leaving.

  Aside from my questioning using "Bohemian Rhapsody" for the trailer, how do I feel?  I won't lie: I'm still excited to see this movie.  Hell, despite my finding its use in the trailer to be similar to the Guardians trailer, I do like the song they chose.  We do get further confirmation the Joker will wear a shirt and Jared Leto also continues to be scary as the Joker as well.  We also get to see that Captain Boomerang will be every bit the asshole from the comics.  Margot Robbie also continues to impress as Harley.  Viola Davis also seems to be making a good Waller.  I wonder if the events of Batman V Superman will be mentioned (Ant-Man had Hank Pym mention the events of Avengers: Age of Ultron).

  Overall, I liked it.
